Married to Horses
Or at least, I would be married to horses if I wasn’t married to my hubby. I’ve been a bachelorette since last Friday, and still have a few days to go, so I’m getting in a lot of extra horse time.
So far, that’s included over five hours on Sunday at Dave and Tracie’s cleaning my brushes, riding Marahute, shortening Classic’s and Poke’s manes, watering the arena, and other miscellaneous barn chores. Last night, my volunteering night at the therapeutic riding stable, I ended up staying until almost midnight with our instructor and a few other volunteers sharing life stories.
Tonight I’m riding, and Thursday I’m riding. (It might even be more, but I’ve got church stuff on Wednesday and a jewelry home party on Friday). I may go back out for some horse time Saturday morning. And my tack desperately needs to be cleaned.
It’s a little depressing being home by myself, especially when my hubby doesn’t have cell phone reception so we can’t get in touch with each other. But I’m glad I have all these horses to keep me busy.
It’s awfully nice to get in all this extra horse time this week. But I won’t mind being back to my 2-3 day a week schedule if it means having my hubby back!

I love it when hubby goes away for a few days on business, it means no cooking, cleaning, laundry etc… I really take those days off just to be with the horses. Although it’s nice to have them back, it’s also nice to have some time alone. Enjoy your time with your horses.
I thought I was the only person that did that when hubby was out of town (no cooking, cleaning, etc). It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. I can spend all my free time with my horses. My husband always jokingly tells me, that his next wife wont have horses. Here’s a good website about horses, if anyone is interested. http://www.greenhorn-horse-facts.com
