I am a trainer at Hockessin Athletic Club. I had the pleasure of working with Barb, Keith and Becca for the 3 months preceding the games. They were such a pleasure to work with. They all showed such drive and motivation. They are truly inspirational people and I’m sure they will do well wherever they direct their energies.

Fran – I just wish there was as much information out there on Paralympics as there are on the Olympic equestrian events … and some TV or online coverage. I’d really like to watch some of it but haven’t found any sources yet. I think so much of the horse world isn’t even aware that this is going on; if we can get them onto it maybe we can start getting more awareness from the public at large.

I am so glad that people are showing interest in the Paralympics this time! I will be reporting on it as much as I can. The Brits are going all out, I know, with Paul McCartney as their head cheerleader! His music video for the Brit team is amazing and the first time he has ever allowed one of his songs to be used commercially.
I am hoping for some really good photography that can have a lasting impact on the public. What these riders CAN do is so amazing!

I hope all the athletes do well, but especially Rebecca Hart. She stands out in my memory because, and this is pathetic but true, she had the best brow band at USEF clinic when I helped out. She was also really nice. Like really, really nice. I started talking to her (about her brow band because I wanted one just like it) and she was friendly fun to talk to about everything. And not everyone there was. I hope she does well! And Go USA all over again!
