2010 WEG Coverage on Regarding Horses and Promo Video

30 September 2008 3 Comments

It’s not too early to start thinking about the World Equestrian Games coming to Lexington, Kentucky in 2010. The world championships, held once every four years, of dressage, show jumping, eventing, driving, vaulting, endurance, reining, and para-dressage are coming to the US! Tickets won’t be available for another year yet, but you can sign up for regular news updates, sign up to volunteer, and be ready when the event comes. Or better yet, come back to Regarding Horses for complete coverage over the next two years leading up to the World Equestrian Games. I’ve created a page for 2010 WEG where I will aggregate all of my articles on this event as well as outside resources. So check back often!

For fun, here’s a promo video I found. It highlights the WEG event, the eight disciplines involved, and the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Definitely worth a few minutes to watch it.

Mom – while those of us in regular business jobs may complain that we don’t get summers off, I think I’d prefer the flexibility to attend something like this that comes up during the school year. I sure wish you didn’t have school so that we could check it out together! Maybe on the weekends ….

Ann – I already wanted to go too in some capacity … as a spectator, volunteer, or press. This video just shows what a great event it really is going to be and makes me want to go even more. It’s going to be awfully fun to cover!
