The Horse Park used to be the Walnut Hall standardbred farm. I remember visiting it many years ago in the late-1960s, years before it became the KHP. Who knows what it was before it was Walnut Hall.

I’m sure Dr. Emily Craig, KY’s forensic anthropologist, will get to the bottom of things.

Something similar happened next to our farm. It wasn’t our property, but it borders it. When they went to excavate to put in a new house, they found a femur. It turned out it was from a man that had been missing for a few years. The person who murdered him moved to New Jersey, and basically he got away with murder. That kind of had me freaked out for awhile. I rode my horse past there all the time while the murder was still living there.

I’m glad the one at the Kentucky Horse Park wasn’t foul play.
