FEI World Equestrian Games Launches New Improved Website

The people behind the World Equestrian Games website seem to know what they’re doing; they finally launched the new and improved WEG website today. They’re just in time for the weekend, which means traffic will be down and they can troubleshoot any post-launch issues without breaking it during high traffic times.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting the new site for a while now because the original was obviously placeholder. It wasn’t a great design and it had hardly any information. The new site, however, is much more comprehensive. It has….
- a super sweet photo gallery from the 2006 World Equestrian Games
- promo videos for each discipline
- desktop wallpapers for every discipline
- history of the games
- registration for volunteers and media
- competition schedule
and a whole lot more. Be sure to check it out!

Regarding Horses is about one thing: loving horses. In that respect, I specifically write to encourage horsemanship and cover equestrian industry issues, news and events. I'm Jackie, the sole researcher, writer, designer, and troubleshooter. And I'm learning that I'm even horse crazier now in adulthood than I was as a pre-teen girl.

I tried to log in to the new site yesterday to update my profile with no success, but it’s working okay today.
Having the WEG here is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But I wonder how economical it will be to attend. Not just tickets, but accommodations, transportation, etc.
Still, a lot of good things can happen between now and fall 2010.
