2010 Equine Affaire Ohio Is Right Around the Corner
One of my favorite weekends of the entire year is FINALLY just around the corner: Equine Affaire Ohio!
I started attending Equine Affaire about 5 years ago, and now I never miss a year. I have an aunt who lives just north of Columbus, so I stay with her and head down to the Ohio Expo Center from the time the gates open till they close.
Why do I love Equine Affaire so much?
Because I love learning about horses and improving my understanding and skills. I’ve learned all kinds of wonderful things from the dressage and jumper clinicians, and also enjoy some of the natural horsemanship sessions. Lately I’ve been developing a serious interest in getting to know other disciplines, so I want to check out some of the western and breed stuff this time around. I’m going to have an awfully hard time picking sessions this year! I also got really hooked on Craig Cameron’s Extreme Cowboy Race last year.
I also love the shopping. Rows upon rows in buildings upon buildings filled with tack, equipment, riding clothes, horsey gifts, books, feed and supplements, organizations, and anything horsey you can think of. Seriously, it’s a horse woman’s heaven! (her husband’s, not so much).
I’ll spend a couple of days hanging out with my mom, a little bit of time on my own, and the rest hooking up with horsey friends from all over who will also be attending Equine Affaire (Will you be there? Let me know so we can hook up!).

Please come by our booth so I can meet you in person – I LOVE your blog with all of its great info!
Active Riding Trips (www.activeridingtrips.com) – Booth 717 in the Bricker Bldg! (and, you can sign up to win a trip to Ireland!)
As big fan of Western Riding I really wish I could be there as this event sounds fantastic. But at least your blog will be the next best thing. Thanks for your coverage.
Will do Stacey! I think I need to start making myself a list so I don’t forget all the things I want to check out and people I need to meet with…
Isn’t this exciting, Jackie?! I’m going to be traveling up from Florida to attend and this will be my first time in a while. I can’t wait, I’m so excited I’m just bursting.
I’d love to meet up with you while I’m there! Let me know your schedule.
