Watch the World Equestrian Games Online

So you’re stuck at home for the next few weeks while all the top riders and horses and many very lucky crazy horse people converge on Lexington for the the 2010 World Equestrian Games? Don’t be too jealous that I will be there for a week, because you can actually see a lot more of the competition that I will online at FEITV.org, UniversalSports.com, and USEF Network.

All Events Live and On-Demand at FEITV

Complete event live streaming and on-demand video of the 2010 WEG is available one place and one place only: FEITV.org, a website service of the International Equestrian Federation that provides online video coverage of major equestrian events around the world. They’ve also got highlights, interviews, and other coverage available.

While some highlight videos are available for free, most video including the WEG coverage is available to subscribers only. The good news is that they have several great subscription plans available.

Only want to watch the Rolex Final Four jump off? Get a day pass for $12.99.

Interested in everything at the World Equestrian Games? You can stream as much as you can watch on a monthly pass for $34.99.

And if you like to watch events year-round, an annual pass is $79.99.

Dressage, Eventing, and Jumping on Universal Sports

A big thanks to Rhonda of the The Horsey Set Net for FINALLY digging up some information on NBC’s online coverage of WEG. It had been alluded to several times and we’ve just now finally gotten the schedule. You can stream the dressage, eventing, and jumping phases online for at UniversalSports.com. General horsey blogger consensus now seems to be that this service is a one-time $29.99 fee to cover all the WEG coverage.

Check out the full Universal Sports WEG coverage schedule.

And if you watch the team reining finals this Sunday, or afternoon dressage session on Tuesday, keep an eye out for me in the crowd. You can bet I’ll be tuning in to FEITV for the combined driving competition; that’s the one I’m most sad I won’t see live.

More Live Streaming From USEF Network

And here’s another one coming late to the party, live streaming on USEF Network. So far it looks free and pretty extensive. We’ll see if it stays that way, as it seems like everything is changing in the hours leading out to WEG. Here’s the USEF broadcast schedule as it currently stands.

“See” you at WEG!

Thanks for the shoutout and such a great compilation article. Old newspaper training kept me from including the prices.

I know.! Goofy, huh? What’s the info most people want to know? How much it’ll cost them! :)

    Oh well.

Anyway, thanks for a great article. Now we can keep up with the action.

I just found out – the USEF Network will be airing some events live. Looks like they’re free.

Check the schedule by clicking here http://www.usefnetwork.com/weg2010/ then on “Broadcast Scheule.”

People do not have to pay for football, hockey, or baseball etc. why do we have to pay for equestrian sports coverage. So unfair. :(
