Two plus years ago when I started this blog, there was really only a small handful of active equestrian bloggers. Quite a few others started around the same time I did – and like Mrs Mom from OhHorseFeathers and OnTheBit – have become great friends. And our little corner of the world has since exploded with horsey writers of all backgrounds, locations, disciplines, philosophies, and personalities. No matter what we write about, though, we are all bonded together by our love of horses.
This week has been a particularly poignant one …

FEI-Level dressage riders Ann Guptill & Lou Denizard gather donations for second silent auction
The New England dressage community is again teaming up to support NARHA Horses for Heroes, a program that was created to provide equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) for wounded U.S. military personnel and veterans. Most of us are familiar with the crisis that has been facing our country’s horses for at least the past year. I’m honored that Arlene over at Grey Horse Matters honored me with the Excellence in Equine Care Award. I certainly don’t know everything there is to know, but ensuring proper care of horses and knowing as much as I can are equine-related passions of mine. I hate to see horses that are mistreated purposely or just from lack of knowledge.
This award will be especially encouraging this week as I’ll be spending a long weekend caring for Dave and Tracie’s horses while they attend the Equine Affaire in Columbus. I love …

Through the global community of the internet, I have had the distinct pleasure of “meeting” TJ Holmes and learning more about the plight and lives of American horses in the wild. TJ grew up with horses. And since 2002, she has visited the wild mustangs living in the Spring Creek Basin of the Disappointment Valley region of Southwest Colorado.
There’s are often disagreements between the Bureau of Land Management and advocates for the welfare of these wild horses who want to keep them in the wild. BLM continues to favor domesticated …

Regarding Horses is about one thing: loving horses. In that respect, I specifically write to encourage horsemanship and cover equestrian industry issues, news and events. I'm Jackie, the sole researcher, writer, designer, and troubleshooter. And I'm learning that I'm even horse crazier now in adulthood than I was as a pre-teen girl.
