After a second show jumping round to determine the individual eventing medals, Gina Miles of the US brought home silver, while the gold went to Hinrich Remeike of Germany and the bronze to Kristina Cook of Great Britain.

After the final show jumping round of the team Olympic eventing competition, Germany is officially going home with the gold medal. Australia will take the podium with the silver and Great Britain with the bronze. The US maintained their seventh place finish.

The Germans and Australians continue to dominate after the dressage and cross-country phases, while the American riders struggled with the cross-country course and dropped back to 7th place in the team race. A very technical course required much accuracy, and not one of the 68 riders finished within the 8-minute optimum time limit.
